We didn't skip a beat

This afternoon Paul and I met my friends Sarah and Miles for lunch.  I am embarassed to say that we were best friends in high school but haven't seen each other in 8 years.   That is ridiculous....it will not be eight years next time. It was so fun catching up...we laughed pretty much the whole time.   Paul and Miles hit it off and we talked about old times.  Their children,Elle and Beck are adorable....and Elle is so funny.  She would take my ipod and close her eyes and sing to Taylor Swift...too cute.  We can't wait to see them again.

11.08.10

Well, today Madden ate his first and second fist full of sand at the park.  No words....but it was stinking cute.  Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to get a picture.....Needless to say that my baby boy is ALL BOY.

Having a Baby Means......

1.  Not washing your hair everyday
2.  Not brushing your teeth 2x a day
3.  Getting pooped on
4.  Getting peed on
5.  Loving someone unconditionally
6.  Having your heart walking around outside of your body.

Having a Baby Boy Means...............

1.  Throwing Food
2.  Watching him try to catch his pee stream as he pees in the tub
3.  Having a child who won't sit still
4.  Having a baby who has earned the nick name "Run Away Roro"
5.  Having the best thing in the WORLD.

Madden..Mommy loves you so much.  You bring so much joy to my life.

Hmmm...I thought I was more computer Saavy than this..cant get my pics to download.....pics of Halloween to come soon.

Guilty

I am so guilty of watching way too much reality TV.  Some of my favorites are:

1.  Keeping up With the Kardashians
2.  Kourtney and Khloe take Miami
3.  Soon to be Kourtney and Kim take NYC
4.  Top Chef
5.  Iron Chef
6.  Hell's Kitchen
7.  The Spin Crowd
8.  Holly's World

.....well you get the picture, I love them all.  One of my real favorites though is Kendra.  Love this girl..cracks me up...despite how she became famous.  I truly think she is real and the theme song to her show is great.  Its so great, in fact, that my 15 month old loves when I sing it to him.  Go Kendra Go Kendra Go Kendra, you not alone now....aHAHAHAHAH.  For those of you who watch the show, you totally get that this song is catchy, right....For those who don't know the theme song, here it is.

Cookie, Doggie, Hi, Bye, Ni Ni, Bob

My baby boy is talking and is getting a personality of his own. He is a complete stinker, but he has such a sweet heart. He can say cookie, doggie, hi, bye, ni ni (night night) and Bob. Of course he says mama and dada. Love that baby boy.

Oh and he is totally a mama's and a Nanny's boy.  But he sure does love his Papa and his Daddy too. :)

The 4th at Hotel Schultz

Here are a few pictures of our 4th of July weekend at Andrea and Marcus' house. The kids swam pretty much all of the time they were awake. It was a fun trip! Thanks Aunt Andrea and Uncle Marcus for letting us stay at your house.

Madden usually isn't a fan of the water, but in this pool, who can resist?

Take 2 - 1 year Photo Shoot

Well, sometimes the slideshow of Madden's 1-year photo shoot doesn't show up in the post below so I decided to take some of my favorites and put them in a separate post. This past weekend the kiddos and I went to Houston to hang out at my sister's awesome house and fabulous pool. While we were there she was so sweet to take Madden's first year pics. I can't believe that my baby will be 1 on Friday this week. This year has been amazing with this little bundle of joy in our family. I wouldn't change a thing about this year...Madden we love you and can't wait to see you grow and change even more.

Easter/Spring Pics and "The Low Down"

Lets just face it, I am a horrible blogger. I love to read other's blogs, but when it comes to updating my own, I just see it as another thing to do so it gets put low on the priority list. Any hoo...Madden is almost 9 months old now. He is crawling everywhere, has 3 teeth fully in and is working on 3 more, and he is eating 3rd foods and pretty much anything mushy off of our plates. I am so sad that he is getting so big.

Today we went to the neighborhood Easter egg hunt and played. Madden slept pretty much the whole time, but Kylie and her friend roamed around and got their hair colored and bounced in all of the bounce houses. It was fun!

I am finally getting around to updating Madden's baby book and it so fun to look back at all of his milestones. Now, I guess I should start planning his 1st birthday. Andrea- I am an accountant so I am going to need some help with this one. I want it to be just perfect for my lil miracle baby.

Kylie is getting ready to go to the 6th grade and is definately acting it :). She is really good with Madden and has had tons of friends over lately so she has been "busy".

Here is a sneak peak of the Easter pics we got taken yesterday. My camera is broken so I don't have any candid shots from random days. Paul is on the phone with Kodak as we speak trying to get it fixed.

So um yes, both of my kids are sporting "hawks" Kylie has a trendy faux hawk and Madden has his signature mohawk. His hair has always done this since he was little. It is laying down more now, but I miss the mohawk so I brought it back on this special picture taking occasion.

So, I will leave you with this funny picture....this is his personality to a T! He hammed it up for the cameras then shakes his head no when Paul or I ask him to look at us...go figure! TOOT!

Thanksgiving 2009

This Thanksgiving we traveled to Michigan to be with Paul's family. I was a bit nervous making the trip with a 4 month old, but Madden proved to be a perfect little traveler. He rarely cried on any of the flights (and we had 1 connection on the way there and one on the way back). Here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving week in Michigan.

First stop was to see Paul's Birth Mom. Dawn holding Kylie and Madden.
Madden playing in the walker. I love the pictures of babies from behind...so sweet.

Eating his first veggies and loving it.

Kylie and her silly cousins.

Lighthouse in Charlevoix. Um...it was freezing by the lake.

Santa Baby

Paul and I had some fun taking pictures of Madden in his diaper and new Santa hat. He is so darn cute. Please ignore the bad picture taking....we couldn't seem to get him to sit up so we had to support him, thus my hands and legs make it into a lot of the pictures.

Tomorrow Kylie and Madden are going to Nanny and Papa's house for the day so Paul and I can get our Christmas shopping done. As you can see, we have ZERO presents under our tree. I am so excited for Madden's first Christmas. He is our little miracle baby and we are so thankful to have him here with us this year.

I Have No Excuse

Let's face it....I am a bad blogger. (Um...not sure why my writing is being underlined, but I don't have time to deal with it now. I do take tons of pictures, I just rarely find the energy to go upstairs and load them on the computer and blog. Here are a few of my recent favorites.

Madden trying to rollover. Poor baby is so big that he isn't really strong enough to support rolling over his 18 lbs.

Sitting up with Mommy.
Kylie and Summer before their Halloween dance and sleepover. Yes, they are 10 and went to a dance, and yes there was boy drama!

Madden and Paul's shoulder. Paul had just had his appendix out. Wednesday night we had to go to the ER for Paul to have an emergency appendectomy. Luckily everything went beautifully and by Tuesday of the next week he was back to work.
Crazy hair day at school. She wore pigtails and then one other random pony in the back. :)

Little M in his highchair playing with his teething rings. Love this picture and the lil guy in it :)

Reading a book and playing on his glider....he is trying to tell me something in this picture.

Sitting in the bumbo staring at his busy ball popper...that toy is a HIT.
Mommy, Madden and Daddy before trick or treating.
