Baby Shower

This weekend, my sister and two dear friends hosted the perfect baby shower for our sweet little Madden-Man. I have to admit that I am the worst picture taker because I get so wrapped up in the party...this is the only picture I could find right now of the three hostesses together. I will post more pics when I get them from my mom and sister.

The shower was at Shelly's beautiful house. The cake looked just like our invitation and tasted wonderful. The food was excellent and so was the punch. We were blessed with tons of gifts for Madden and are so thankful for Andrea, Shelly, and Jennifer (pictured below in this order).

THANK YOU ANDREA, SHELLY AND JENNIFER....WE LOVE YOU AND APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DID FOR US.

Mr. Madden in 3-D

Today, we got to go see our little man in 3-D. My mom, Kylie, Paul and I were all in the room and got to see Madden on the big screen. At first he was turned to where we could see his face, but then I think he got a little shy because he turned his back to us...Little Booger. We go back on the 14th of May to see if we can get some better shots. The 3-D sono is totally worth the money :)

Madden saying Hi....Give me Five!

Burying his face so we can't see him!

Sleeping Angel!

Stretch!

No Pictures Please!

And my favorite.....We love you Madden..can't wait to see you in person!

Progress on the Nursery/27 Week Belly Pic

We have made some progress on the nursery this weekend. We finally got a mattress for the bed and put the bedding on. Thank you Andrea, Marcus, Mason, and Madelyn for the bedding for our Madden. It looks great with the paint colors. This picture along with all of the all of the hodge podge stuff we haven't found a place for don't do the bed and bedding justice. Madden is one lucky and loved little boy.

Wall hangings that will either go above the bed or dresser/changing table. Thanks for the idea Andrea and for helping me track them down. Once things go on sale on Kirklands its hit or miss on whether you will find what you are looking for at one store.
The loot. This boy already has so many clothes, paci's, bathtime goodies...etc.

Chair and Ottoman from Paul's parents (not sure where we are putting this yet) and our new espresso blinds that just came in. We still need to hang the valance curtain.

Me and my 27 weeker lil boy. I have my 28 week dr. appt tomorrow, even though I will only be 27 weeks 3 days. I do not look forward to drinking the orange drink, but will do anything for my lil man.

Note: There are two additional posts directly below this one that we did today so don't forget to check those out too.

Easter

We had a pretty relaxing Easter! We started off by going to church for the 9am service, ran through Mickey D's for a quick snack, and decided to go grab a couple of things at Wal-Mart. Next, we came home made brisket and all the fixin's and had lunch with my parents. Here are some pictures that captured our day in no particular order.

Pre-Easter festivities dying eggs. Please ignore the huge belly poking out under my baby tee. I wasn't dressing to impress at that time.

Visitor From Michigan :)

A couple of weeks ago ( I know I have been horrible about blogging) Paul's Dad came in to visit from Michigan. We had a nice relaxing weekend and did lots of eating. On his first night there we took him, along with my parents and Kylie and her friend Maddie to the Oasis for a sunset dinner. Here are a couple of pics from that weekend.

Ladies First! Kylie and Maddie posing by the lake. What little divas they are.

Maddie getting excited that the queso came! Come to think of it we were all excited when the queso came....by that time of day we were STARVING.

My Dad, Paul's Dad and Paul. (I was sitting on the end of the table getting sunburned and not knowing it and my Mom was over by the girls.)

We had a fun weekend. Can't wait when everyone from Michigan comes down for Madden's birth.

Scary at 26.5 Weeks

I was totally pumped about blogging when I set up this blog, but then I got busy at work, thus tired at home at nights and on the weekends. Sorry I don't have any pictures to post right now, but I do have a story for ya!

This may be TMI for some of you out there, but it is just part of pregnancy, which is a very humbling experience. So, last week I felt like I may be leaking some amniotic fluid. I immediately made an appointment to see the Dr. I had all of the fun tests and at the office they told me I looked good and that there was no sign of leakage. Well, later on that same afternoon they called me back and said the lab portion of my test came back inconclusive and that I needed to come back for more testing. I went from completely relieved to completely worried. I mean leaking amniotic fluid can't be a good thing, so the first thing that came to my mind was pre-term labor and/or bedrest. YIKES!!

The next day I went back to the Dr., had the tests run and all tests came back normal. Turns out I was not leaking amniotic fluid, but that I have already lost control of my bladder. Now that I think about it, losing control of my bladder is kinda funny, but it sure wasn't at the time. Whew...am I glad that is over.

I am planning to post some easter pics and more belly pics this weekend. I don't think I have grown much. I have only gained like 1 lb since my 24 week appt and I just don't feel bigger. I am up 11 lbs total at this point. I guess I will just be one of those that blows up towards the end.
